Dr. Christoph Kranemann

The guiding force behind the Clearview Institute, Dr. Christoph Kranemann is one
of North America's leading practitioners of ophthalmology. He completed his training
at University of British Columbia, University of Toronto and the Royal Manchester
Eye Hospital and has a fellowship in refractive surgery from I.R.O.C. in Zurich,
Switzerland. Dr. Kranemann is board certified in Canada and the United States. He
has expertise in laser surgery, the management of complex cataract and glaucoma
surgery, cataract surgery complications and pediatric eye surgery.
Dr. Kranemann's special interests are the development of minimally invasive glaucoma
surgery, the management of dislocated cataracts and the effects of prostaglandins
on the biomechanical properties of cornea & sclera.
A frequent lecturer at universities around the globe including the University of
Toronto, Dr. Kranemann teaches at Scarborough and St. Michael's Hospitals. He is
a regular contributor to well-respected periodicals such as the American Journal
of Ophthalmology and the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
What's more, he is the recipient of research grants from the Glaucoma Society of
Canada. A father of five, Dr. Kranemann's hobbies include gourmet cooking, poetry,
art history, travel and collecting fine wine.
