Dr. David Wong

Associate Director

Dr. David Wong specializes in medical and surgical diseases of the Vitreous and Retina. He holds two fellowships in Vitreoretinal Surgery in Toronto and New York and is board certified in Canada and the United States.

Dr. Wong is a member of the Canadian Ophthalmology Society, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto and serves as the Director of Fellowship Programs at this institution. He is an active Staff Ophthalmologist at St Michael's Hospital and a member of the courtesy staff at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital and Trillium Hospital.

Dr. Wong frequently lectures throughout North America, South America, Asia and Europe In addition, he has authored numerous scientific papers and publications on subjects such as innovative surgical instrumentation, techniques and therapies for macular degeneration, diabetes and complex retinal detachments. When not at work, Dr. Wong's eclectic interests include technology, computers and surfing.
